Admissions Process

At Stalford Academy, we welcome applications year-round on a rolling basis. Our admissions process is designed to be transparent, thorough, and fully compliant with Singapore’s private education regulations.

Here is your step-by-step roadmap to enrolment.

Step 1: Pre-Course Counselling

Applicants will first receive comprehensive information on:

  • Course Information (Modules, schedules, and learning outcomes)
  • Course Pre-requisites (Academic history required)
  • Course Admission Requirements (English proficiency standards)

A pre-course counselling session will be conducted to help you understand exactly what to expect when studying at Stalford Academy. During this session, we will guide you through critical administrative details—including the Fee Protection Scheme, Refund Policy, and Dispute Resolution Policy—and address any questions you may have.

Step 2: Academic Readiness Assessment

Stalford Academy will arrange for the prospective student to undergo a placement test to assess their proficiency and recommend suitable course options.

  • Components: Written examinations in English and Mathematics, as well as an oral component to evaluate speaking and listening abilities.
  • Objective: To ensure the student possesses the necessary foundation to integrate successfully into their target year level.

Step 3: Application Submission

Once the assessment recommends a course level, applicants must submit the Application Form and the Application Fee of S$545.00 (inclusive of 9% GST).

  • Note: This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Required Documents: Please refer to the Documents Checklist below for the full list of soft-copy documents required for submission.

Step 4: Acceptance & Student Contract

Upon reviewing the application and placement test results, we will issue a formal Letter of Offer.

  • Stalford Academy adopts the Standard Private Education Institution-Student Contract to protect your rights and outline clear terms regarding refunds and course details. Parents must sign the Standard PEI-Student Contract and the Form 12 Advisory Note to Students.

Step 5: Student’s Pass Application

For international students that require a Student’s Pass, the school will submit the Student’s Pass application via the ICA SOLAR+ system.

  • Note: Stalford Academy can only provide assistance to submit the Student’s Pass application; the granting of Student’s Pass is subject to the ICA’s approval.

Step 6: Fee Payment & Orientation

Following the signing of the Student Contract, course fees become due.

  • Payment Deadline: Course fees must be paid in full prior to the course commencement date. This applies to all students, including those awaiting Student’s Pass approval and those on DP or LTVP.

Documents Checklist

Applicant's Documents

  • Birth Certificate (Translated or notarised if not in English).
  • Passport Data Page (Must have at least 6 months validity).
  • Recent passport-sized colour photograph (Plain white background, facial features clearly visible).
  • Highest Qualification Certificate and Academic Transcripts (Translated or notarised if not in English).
  • Change-of-Name Deed Poll (If applicable; translated or notarised).
  • HPB Verification of Vaccination (For foreign-born children aged 12 years and below only).

Parents’ Documents 

  • Passport Data Pages of both parents.
  • Proof of Financial Ability (e.g., bank statement or deposit letter).
  • Letters of Employment (Stating commencement date, designation, and monthly salary).
  • Business License Certificates (If applicable; translated or notarised).

Once the student pass application is approved, the applicant may be required to bring all original application documents when entering Singapore to collect the Student’s Pass. View for more details
